Lead Pastor

Todd and Lisa Kennedy

Pastor Todd and his wife, Lisa, joined our staff in July of 2019. He served in the USAF for 12 years and had a variety of ministry roles while attending Amplify Church of the Nazarene in Raleigh, NC. Todd was ordained in June 2022. We are excited to have the Kennedys as part of our leadership team at New Heart! On May 21st, 2023, the New Heart Congregation voted unanimously to call Todd as Lead Pastor. Our vision is to see lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ through loving relationships and service to our community.




Music Minister

Art Hill

Art has been immersed in music since the age of seven, beginning with piano lessons and continuing through a lifelong commitment to music ministry. His journey has been marked by faithful service in both Virginia and North Carolina, where he has taught music and ministered with passion and purpose. Grateful for the opportunities he's been given, he continues to share his gifts in ways that inspire and uplift.




Community Pastor

Riley Peters

Riley Peters is a district licensed minister who is eligible for ordination in the Church of the Nazarene this upcoming year. Riley grew up in Grove City, Ohio and attended Trevecca Nazarene University. At Trevecca, he completed a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministry, as well as a master's degree in Church and Community. Riley seeks to engage with the local church in practical Theology, being transformed into the likeness of Christ, which in turn leads us outside the walls of the Church.

Anna Peters

Anna Fitzgerald-Peters is a locally licensed minister here at New Heart. She grew up in Dallas, TX and attended Trevecca Nazarene University as a Pastoral Ministry major. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Theological Studies at Duke Divinity School. She plans to be ordained in the Church of the Nazarene. Her hope for ministry is that through rich spiritual formation, local churches might be formed into faithful, kind, peacemaking witnesses of God’s love in a wounded world. 




Locally Licensed

Tim Hover

Tim received his Lay Ministry Certificate on June 15, 2025. A native of northwestern Pennsylvania, he gave his life to Christ at age twelve. After years of spiritual searching, he and his wife Marlene found a theological home in the Church of the Nazarene.

On December 7th, 2025, Tim received a Local Minister's License. Tim continues to listen to and respond to the call God has placed on his life.

Tim is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and longtime educator, having taught Special Education and served as a school principal. His academic background includes associate degrees in auto mechanics and avionics, three bachelor’s degrees in human resource management: Social Psychology, and Special Education, and master’s degrees in both Special Education and School Administration.

Tim’s life is grounded in Christ and enriched by his love for his wife, children, and friends. He is passionate about teaching and preaching the gospel, trusting God to use him to reach others in this season of life.
